Stream Junglewatcher

Synonyms:

  • scientific: Allorrhizucha klingi

Type locality: Bismarckburg, British Togo [now Ghana]

Diagnosis

Male is similar to other species formerly classified as the genus Allorrhizucha (N. infra, N. preussi and N. katanga) by (a) Fw discoidal field almost parallel-sided, of 1 cell-row at and distal to node, 2-4 cells wide on wing border, rarely 5; (b) Fw discoidal field of 1 (rather than 2) cell-row at base; (c) anal loop of 3-6 (rather than 7-15) cells, rarely up to 8; (d) hamule with anterior cleft. However, differs by (1) labium broadly black in middle, rather than largerly yellow; (2) metastigma enclosed in broad black band; (3) antehumeral stripe absent or reduced to spot near wing base; (4) apex of cerci slender, rather than thickened.
