Diagnosis
The status of this taxon described as a wholly black subspecies of E. acuta is presently unclear. Please refer the references provided.
Habitat description
Streams and possibly rivers shaded by gallery forest. Probably often with a sandy and/or soft (like muddy) bottom. Recorded at around 1300 m above sea level, but possibly down to 800.
