Diagnosis
No diagnosis of this species is presently available, but the male is unmistakable in the Upper Guinea by its all-blue coloration.
Habitat description
Mostly headwater streams, but also seeps and springs, shaded by forest. Usually with coarse detritus and probably often a sandy and/or soft (like muddy) bottom. From 0 to 1000 m above sea level, but mostly below 800.
